Leaders of Ghana Union Conference Visit Chairman of Council of State, Ghana

The Ghana Union Conference led by the Presidet, Ps Samuel Adama Larmie, paid a courtesy call on the Chairman of the Council of State, Prof Adzei Bekoe at his office in Accra on March 19, 2008.

The Chairman of the Council of State was briefed on the Church's activities in Ghana and some of the challenges faced by its members. He was especially briefed on the plight of Adventists Students in public tertiary institutions who face the problem of writing examinations on the Sabbath. The President appealed to him to help the church leadership reopen negotiations with all the universities on the issue.

Prof Adzei Bekoe was sympathetic towards the plight of the students and promised to help the Church initiate some consultations with the government. He was full of praises for the Church saying "I am fully aware of all the contributions the church has made towards the development of the country and this is commendable".

Ps Larmie who was accompanied by the Executive Secretary,Pastor Ambrose Waahu, and the Treasurer, Elder Isaac O. Amponsem and the Communication Director, Solace Asafo, presented a set of book to Prof Adzei Bekoe.
